Fathalla
From Alexandria to Cairo
A household name enters a new city
Fathalla is a household name in Alexandria — but Cairo is a different market with its own habits and expectations. Together with Arab Mechanical Engineers we developed a design that carries the brand's core values into the capital while incorporating elements that resonate with the local Cairo community: familiar enough to trust, local enough to feel like their own.

One store, many worlds
The 2,700 m² store ties together distinctly different world, groceries, household goods and specialty items through clear zoning. Each section is immediately recognisable and easily navigable, so the scale of the store works as an advantage rather than an obstacle: customers always know where they are and where to go next.

Cohesion from door to checkout
The connecting layer is the brand identity, applied consistently across food and non-food so the store reads as one coherent whole. From the moment customers enter, the layout flows naturally, guiding them through each department with ease — a welcoming environment designed to turn first-time Cairo visitors into regulars.
